Empower Affirmations With Breathwork

“The mind is everything. What we think we become.” ~Buddha

What is your inner voice saying? Do negative thoughts plague and control your mind? If yes, then it’s not hard to imagine how the habit of negative thinking can dramatically influence your health, well-being, and quality of life. The good news is you CAN change the habit of negative thinking patterns with the transformative power of breathwork and positive affirmations.

According to research conducted by the National Science Federation, 80% of our thoughts are negative.  Not a very inspiring ratio of positive to negative, particularly when you consider that most people think anywhere from 15,000 – 50,000 thoughts per day.

The brain, body, and nervous system are conditioned early in life by our experiences, traumas, fears, judgements, belief systems, unresolved emotions, and social conditioning. These experiences — and how we have processed them — reveal the subconscious programs (like a computer operating system) that are affecting our well-being and shaping our lives.

A good place to start in understanding how your own subconscious mind works is to recognize/cognize how your inner dialogue defines and shapes your mind and sense of self. This observation will help to reveal the impact of your mental and emotional conditioning.

One very helpful way to become more aware of your thoughts is to just step back and observe your own mind in a variety of life situations. Be a non-judgemental witness, similar to watching a movie, where you are just the observer of your thoughts. Do you find yourself replaying a negative story that just cascades into more negativity, keeping you re-living unresolved beliefs and emotions?

The next thing to know is that you have the power within your own mind, heart and being to change these self-defeating programs into new programs — programs that are authentic to who you truly are, that empower you and support your mental, emotional, and spiritual well being.

How You Can Empower Your Affirmations With Breathwork

The problem with positive affirmations is that they operate at the surface level of conscious thinking and do nothing to contend with the subconscious mind, where we can have a deep and significant impact on influencing and changing our inner self-talk.”– Forbes

Scientific research informs us that positive changes can take root in our minds, if we know how to go about it in the right way.

There are 3 fundamental keys to achieving success with positive affirmations:

1) Access the subconscious mind

2) Repeat affirmations daily

3) Believe what you are saying, which is the hardest one…

This is where our breathwork comes in to empower and support us in reshaping our minds and healing our lives.

During the Joy of Breathing practice, we shut off parts of the brain and activate other parts, allowing us to journey deeper within our bodies, brain, subconscious, and superconscious minds. Here we CAN release patterning that keeps us stuck in life, and — with the use of affirmations — create new patterns rooted in self-love, authenticity, truth and joy.

What Would You Like To Manifest In Your Life?

Remember, we are already creators of our reality, creating our lives on a daily basis, but on a subconscious level based on mental and emotional patterns — patterns that can keep us stuck in our lives and disempowered.

Powered by the breath, we access a deeper awareness and connection to both the subconscious and superconscious minds.  In this deeper and more self-connected state of being, we release whatever needs to be released, we heal whatever needs to heal, and we move forward to consciously create the life we want — a life where we feel empowered to create the shifts and changes we want to make, for our healing, well-being and fulfillment.

When we repeat positive, self-affirming statements at this deeper level of self-awareness and heart-centered feeling, our affirmations are empowered 1,000 fold! (I made up this number to emphasis how powerful this process is!)

So, get clear in your heart and mind about what you want to heal, manifest, or change in your life. Is it health? Well-being? Healing? Abundance? Love?

You can also join us to learn and experience how to empower your affirmations during breathwork. You will learn how to design affirmations that speak to your heart and mind. Then you will be guided to experience how to use the affirmations during your breathwork practice.

Creating & Practicing Affirmations

1. Observe your general state of mind and body

What do they feel like on a regular basis. It is important to do this without judgement. Just be aware of and present with what is.

2. Self-acceptance of what is present now

is an important part of the process of getting deeper into what you feel and what you desire to heal and change.

3. Think, feel and reflect

Be aware of any issues, patterns of thinking that are not serving your highest good and well-being. Can you sense any core issues or life experiences that are connected with these patterns that you want to shift?

4. Write some short, positive. heartfelt statements

Create statements that are affirmative in the present moment that speak to what you want to shift/heal.

5. Repeat these statements on a daily basis

Repeat at different times of the day to help these new thoughts and feelings to take root in your subconscious mind.

6. Have belief and confidence that your affirmations will work.

Feel the feeling of the affirmation in the present moment in your body and life now. Notice how this feels as you absorb it in.

7. Engage in daily habits/activities that support what you want to manifest

8. Repeat your affirmations in your mind during your breathing practice

Feel that your affirmations are absorbing into your body, mind, and life, more and more each day. Tend to your affirmations like seeds that you are planting and watching them grow.
