Breathwork Techniques

Diaphragmatic breathing involves deep inhalations through the nose, allowing the diaphragm to descend. Exhalations are slow and controlled through the mouth, engaging the diaphragm to promote relaxation.
Box breathing is a technique that focuses on equal-duration phases of inhalation, breath-holding, exhalation, and another breath-holding phase. It helps regulate the breath and induces a sense of calm.
This technique consists of inhaling quietly through the nose for a count of four, holding the breath for seven counts, and exhaling completely through the mouth for a count of eight. It aims to promote relaxation and alleviate stress.
Pursed lip breathing involves inhaling through the nose for a count of two and exhaling through pursed lips for a count of four. It is designed to improve lung function, especially in individuals with respiratory conditions.
Mindful breathing is a form of meditation where attention is focused on the breath, observing each inhalation and exhalation without trying to control it. It cultivates present-moment awareness and reduces stress.
Buteyko breathing emphasizes nasal breathing and reducing over-breathing. It aims to optimize breathing patterns to improve oxygenation and manage respiratory and stress-related conditions.
